When night embraces day,
streetlights are turned on
and city birds sing in parks.

When cars have left the town
and wait outside suburban
homes.

When petrol vapour has
blown away and diesel fume
hides in manholes

Then it's time for a good long
walk and a few glasses of wine
in my local bar.
